Clemons didn’t feel comfortable speaking on behalf of victims
Speaking to Nylon, Clemons shared her experience promoting the film and had to answer questions about Miller’s personal issues. Clemons said she doesn’t feel comfortable answering questions about anything about Miller unless it comes from people they hurt — or if she has their permission. “Not only did I have to live with my personal experience of Ezra as my friend, but I also had to answer questions that were not mine,” Clemons said. “I wouldn’t do this in the media unless asked to do so by someone who has been hurt by this person’s actions. Otherwise, I’m talking about something that doesn’t belong to me that doesn’t belong. have consent. I was asked before I was given permission, and neither one [of Miller’s accusers] allowed me to talk about their experience with Ezra.
Trouble has followed Miller for some time over the past few years. Last year, the 29-year-old actor was charged with burglary after stealing alcohol from a home in Vermont. Miller was also arrested last April and indicted on suspicion of second-degree assault. A month ago, Miller was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment in Hawaii. The actor later released a statement saying that he “suffers from complex mental health issues” and has begun seeking ongoing treatment.
