Star Wars Resolves a 46-Year-Old Mystery About the Force and Jedi
One of Star Wars’ longstanding questions about the Force and the Jedi has been answered in Ahsoka. Details of the Force have slowly been revealed over the years, from the appearance of the midi-chlorians in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace to the Force Heal in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has evolved. Some ideas are more accepted than others, but the question of exactly who can exercise power, and why, remains open during his 46 years. After it was revealed that Sabine Wren was Ahsoka’s Padawan, it was inevitable that this question would somehow be answered in Ahsoka. The Star Wars Rebels Mandalorian had never shown signs of using the Force before, and despite that, she still took on Jedi training and is continuing to do so in the new live-action series. This left many viewers wondering how she’s been able to undergo such training if she’s elusive to the Force, especially with Huyang verifying Sabine is the least Force-sensitive Padawan he’s ever come across. Since Ahsoka episode 3 showed a glimpse into Sabine’s training with her master, the answer to this long-running question has finally come to light.
Ahsoka Insists Everybody Has The Force – Not Just Jedi
Ahsoka states that the Force resides within all living things, as Kanan Jarrus said when he trained Sabine with the Darksaber. Both of their ideas stem from Obi-Wan Kenobi’s words to Luke Skywalker in A New Hope, “The Force connects everyone and everything in the galaxy.” it must live in everyone, whether they’re Force-wielding Jedi or not. This aligns with George Lucas’ rule that anyone can use the Force, though Ahsoka does identify an important restriction to this idea
Not Everybody Can Call On The Force, However

Ahsoka tells Sabine that wielding the Force requires talent and perseverance, similar to what Luke himself said to Din Djarin about Grogg in The Mandalorian. This is why people like the Jedi are able to connect with her on such an intimate and powerful level. A Jedi’s talent for using the Force was recognized at an early age, and her training at the Jedi Temple strengthened her bond with the Force, allowing her to use it in ways many others in the galaxy could not. Power is in everyone, but only those with sufficient talent and training can actually wield it.
This goes hand in hand with age-old theories such as Han Solo’s unwitting use of the Force in more dangerous piloting missions. As Ahsoka argues, if the Force really resides in all living things, humans can use the Force unknowingly, but without talent and training, they cannot use the Force voluntarily. will never be able to The answer to this question certainly makes that power elusive, but also more specific and understandable. People are not necessarily born with greater power than others, but it is the innate ability to harness it and the continued training that enables them to utilize the Force better than others. May have discipline. The continuation of Sabine’s Jedi Journey in Ahsoka will further develop the answer to this long-standing question.
