Rajkumar Hirani is currently filming Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan. The film is one of the most anticipated movies of this year, especially after the incredible success of SRK’s recent comeback and release, Pathaan. But before Dunki ended, there was news of a sequel to Hirani, another biopic about him after Sanju. This time, it will follow the life of former Indian cricket legend Lala Amarnath, as reported by Peeping Moon.

The report also states that the film will be produced under the Excel Entertainment banner by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
The publication quoted a source as saying, “Rajkumar Hirani has been planning a biopic about Lala Amarnath since 2019. In fact, it was one of two scenarios he introduced to SRK, but the superstar chose Dunki and the biopic was paused.Now, after Dunki was released, Hirani wanted to revive the Lala Amarnath biopic and asked his writing team to complete the script. It’s a story that Hirani is passionate about and vows to start working on as soon as Dunki gets out of his system.

Hirani will tell her story in her usual entertaining way, beautifully highlighting her career. by Lala, the contraction genius and her lasting influence on Indian cricket.A young A-list star is expected to star in the film.However, the director is not closing anyone. until they finish filming Dunki,” the source added.
This is not the first feature film to explore the character Lala Amarnath. Kabir Khan’s critically acclaimed 83rd film features the character Lala Amarnath in a few scenes. Interestingly, his character was tried out by his son and another great cricketer, Mohinder Amarnath.
