Loki Season 2 Episode 3 Ending Explained
Loki season 2, episode 3 ends with a pivotal ending scene, setting forth new secrets and a dynamic future for TVA and Ravonna Rensayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw). Joined by the sentient AI Miss Minutes of the Temporal Variance Authority, it is revealed that Ravonna was sent to a branching timeline to create new Remainers. However, there seem to be some big secrets about TVA that involve both Ravonna’s past and future. As seen in Loki season 2, episode 3, a new variant of He Who Remains named Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) will make his official debut in the MCU. Living on the branched timeline in 1893, Timely is an inventor who was instructed by the TVA as a child. This is thanks to Ravonna and Miss Minutes seemingly following the Remnant’s own posthumous orders. However, things go wrong for them as Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius (Owen Wilson) need Timely to save the current TVA while Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) only wants to destroy the Kang variant. As such, the episode ends on a surprising note, especially for Ravonna.
What Big Secret Does Miss Minutes Know About Renslayer?
As seen at the end of Loki Season 2, Episode 3, Miss Minutes wants Timely to build her a real body so she can be with him like she always wanted to be with The One Who Remains. However, the inventor rejected his love, which seemingly made the Minutes enemies. As such, she returns to Ravonna Renslayer at the very end of the episode, confirming that she knows plenty of his secrets, including a major one about Ravonna that will “make her real angry.” It stands to reason that Miss Minutes will likely reveal more of Ravonna’s hidden past as she was likely mind-wiped like many other agents of the TVA.
How Sylvie Sent Renslayer To The End Of Time
As was seen at the end of Loki season 2, episode 2, Sylvie uses the temporal device she took from He Who Remains to send Ravonna Renslayer to the Citadel at the End of Time. This device appears to be a more advanced version of the standard-issue TemPads used by the TVA agents.
How Loki Season 2, Episode 1 Foreshadows Renslayer’s Truth
In the season 2 premiere of Loki, the titular God of Mischief found a recording in which he heard He Who Remains thanking Ravonna for her service. This suggests a time loop with a more cyclical origin for the TVA, where Ravonna was there from the beginning of the TVA, although she was unable to remember her past after being erased. This is most likely the truth about Renslayer that Miss Minutes will reveal in future episodes.
What’s Happening To The End Of Time?
Having been banished to the Citadel at the End of Time by Sylvie, it looks as though the entire fortress is falling apart, slowly crumbling away to nothing. Seeing as how it was already cracked in the finale of Loki season 1, perhaps He Who Remains was the only thing keeping it all intact in this rather volatile temporal space.
How Long Has Past At The End Of Time
With the decomposition of He Who Remains’ body, it appears that a lot of time has passed since he was killed and that Ravonna is now standing in the Citadel at the end of Loki Season 2, Episode 3. However, operating times vary in both TVA and Final Period, so the actual time elapsed is of course relative and difficult to quantify accurately.
