Harry Potter Dumbledore Cosplay Shows The Wizard Looking Regal At Hogwarts
The older wizard was the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when Harry Potter first met Dumbledore. Though his intentions are often unclear, Dumbledore becomes Harry’s mentor and aids Harry in his quest to defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort. The costume consists of layered robes, glasses, a beard and wig, half-moon glasses, and his one of Dumbledore’s iconic hats.
The Different Versions of Albus Dumbledore Explained
The costume and beard design suggest that this cosplay was inspired by Michael Gambon’s portrayal of Dumbledore. But Gambon wasn’t the first actor to play the role. Harris’s version of Dumbledore was a very wise old wizard who hid wit behind the shaky old man. However, Gambon brought additional youth and vitality to the character, presenting him as a more lively character in the remaining six entries in the series. His costume also became more elegant and ornate, including the bells he used to tie his beard. Most recently, Jude Law played Dumbledore in the prequel trilogy Fantastic Beasts.
