10 Most Powerful Turtles in TMNT Canon (Ranked)

Every Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan is familiar with the four Turtles easily becoming the greatest warriors in their established universe, though fans may not know that they’re not the only Turtles. the strongest in their universe and maybe – not even among the strongest .

Since being introduced by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in Mirage Studios’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1, Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo have never faced a villain they can’t take down, at least. is not at the beginning. As the franchise evolved and new versions of TMNT began to appear, every aspect of the series evolved into something much bigger. Now, these progressions have culminated into one cohesive narrative, thus making it necessary to ask: Who are the top 10 most powerful Turtles in TMNT canon? And out of them, who’s number 1?

Null Turtles

10

Despite being the thorn in the side of the TMNT faction in the game Armageddon, Null Turtles cannot compare to the original. The Null Turtles (secretly the Gang of Four in disguise, working for Madame Null) exist only to smear the reputation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, when they are finally defeated in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Armageddon Game – The Alliance #6, the original TMNT isn’t even necessary to defeat them, which says a lot about the unique impostors. this evil.

Yi, Uno, Odyn, and Moja (The Last Ronin)

11

Yi, Uno, Odyn, and Moja exist in the future of the TMNT timeline The Last Ronin and are the children of Casey Marie Jones and the grandson of April O’Neil. As it stands, these turtles are in their teens and have yet to be battle-tested. Although they exhibit similar personalities to the original Tortoise, their strength remains unclear at this point. The potential is there (that’s why they beat the Null Turtles, who have no potential in the first place), but it’s too early to tell at what level of warrior they’ll be, if they’ll ever be. choose to continue this path in the first place.

Metalhead

12

Metalhead is a robotic turtle whose intelligence is roughly equivalent to that of Donatello, as his show once had access to Donatello’s mind. This turtle-bot not only has a genius mind, but also a very majestic physique. Metalhead has built-in weapons, unparalleled super strength, and intelligence to accurately predict your opponent’s every move. However, in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #99, Metalhead was defeated by a small device known as a “metal-buster”. All Donatello needs to do is sneak behind Metalhead and put him on top of him, which is a pretty easy way to defeat someone, especially for ninjas. So while Metalhead is incredibly powerful and smart, he also has a pretty simple and easy-to-exploit weakness.

Venus

13

Venus is the first 5th turtle, at least in a meta sense. Debuting in the ’90s live-action series Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutant, Venus is introduced as a long-lost mutant turtle joining the TMNT. However, as far as IDW Publishing is concerned, Venus’s story is a bit different. Instead of being a ninja turtle, Venus was originally a human mutated into an anthropomorphic frog. Venus (real name Bonnie) was in Punk Frogs before being tested. His body was cut out and reconfigured to look like a mutant turtle instead of a frog. While her story certainly became more interesting, her skill level as a fighter definitely took a hit. Venus is a proven fighter and valiant warrior, but she just lacks the advanced training of the other TMNT, and doesn’t have any notable invulnerability to make up for that shortcoming. That being said, her future self is destined to train the new era of mutant ninjas (as shown in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Armageddon Game – The Alliance #4), meaning her story–and her power level–is not yet fully written.

Jennika

14

Jennika has proven herself to be a member of TMNT before the mutation, both in terms of skill and compatibility. Jennika was a human member of the Foot Clan hand-picked by Shredder himself as one of his most trusted assassins. Then, when Splinter took over the Foot Clan, he made her his chunin–or, second in command–because of her skill levelAfter she was mutated into a Mutant Turtle, Jennika became IDW Publishing’s first official 5th Turtle, and her skills were nearly on-par with the original Turtles immediately. However, the original Turtles were born into Splinter’s superior ninja training, while Jennika only got a small taste of what they learned While the difference in skill-level is practically non-existent, that little bit of difference must play a factor, making Jennika a top contender, though not quite worthy enough to take a spot from one of the original.

Michelangelo

15

Michelangelo is TMNT’s resident guy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t fight. Time and time again, Mikey has proven that his laid-back attitude doesn’t get in the way of his ninja training, even if it prevents him from becoming more adept than his brothers. . The Last Ronin proved that Michelangelo has what it takes to be a brutal and unyielding warrior, but as a teenager, he’s simply too unfocused to reach that full potential. Plus, Mikey hates violence–something that became crystal clear when he walked away from Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #64–so that drive to be the strongest just isn’t there.

Raphael

16

Leonardo himself called Raphael the strongest Turtle brother in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #100, and while that may be true, it doesn’t eliminate Raph’s shortcomings. While Raphael is by far the fiercest in combat, with a desire to be the best to fuel his ninja training, he’s way too hot. Normally, Raphael can channel his emotions into battles – which is one of the things that got him into the top 3 on this list – but when left unchecked, his emotions come to the fore. his weakness. However, once he learns to control his anger, it will be difficult for anyone to be stronger than him.

Leonardo

17

Leonardo is the leader of the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles and the most focused of his brothers when it comes to ninja training. Not only that, in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #23, Leonardo becomes Shredder’s chunin with the Foot Clan, meaning he has mastered the fighting styles taught by Master Splinter and Master Shredder. In battle, Leonardo is second to none, as he is by far the most skilled fighter on this list. However, this list is about who is the “strongest” and not who “has the best fighting skills”.

Slash

18

Slash is unofficially the first 5th Turtle of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and is classically the strongest of the bunch. As confirmed by Michelangelo himself in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #90, Slash is essentially the culmination of all the Turtle brothers merging into one. While it must be admitted that he is not as knowledgeable about ninja training as the original four, he is a pillar of pure strength, for the abuse he can endure far outweighs anything. what most of the original four Turtles would have survived. However, when it reached number one, this turtle proved that it is not always brute force that saves people’s lives from certain death, but the ability to deceive death.

Donatello

19

Donatello is a certified genius with inventions that could match those of Marvel Comics’ Reed Richards. Donnie had a hand in the creation of multiversal portal travel, he merged magic with science to literally travel through time (as seen throughout the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Armageddon Game event), and even escaped death after Donatello was effectively killed by Bebop and Rocksteady by transferring his consciousness into the body of Metalhead (before it became sentient), and then transferred back to his original body once it was healed. Not only that, but Donatello’s intellect has always been instrumental in his understanding of his ninja training, making him as effective in battle as his siblings. Plus, with his unparalleled brilliance when it comes to machines, Donnie is always coming up with increasingly powerful weapons and gadgets to use in battle, which directly correlates to how powerful he is, since they couldn’t have existed without him. Overall, Donatello is the most powerful member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and if fans are being honest with themselves, they’ll see that it’s not even close.

One thing that’s important to keep in mind about this rating is–like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themselves–it is ever-evolving. As TMNT introduces increasingly powerful characters such as immortal ninja warlords, interdimensional alien conquerors, and even literal gods, every one of these unquestionably powerful Turtles has the opportunity to step up and prove that they’re the greatest out of the bunch. But for now, at least, the feats exhibited by Donatello put him at that top spot, a prestigious position considering the proven strength of these top 10 most powerful Turtles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
