One Piece Already Confirmed Luffy Is Destined To Be The Pirate King
Outside of his crew and friends, few in the One Piece world believed Luffy would defeat Kaido, the “strongest creature” on Earth. However, after Kaido’s defeat a new ranking of pirate power means Luffy’s success makes him one of, if not the most serious threat to central government authority. While Kaido may have held the rather infamous title of “Emperor of the Sea,” whether or not the World Government actually believed that role is questionable. And now, One Piece Chapter 1055 finally provides important background to the group’s past decisions. while also showing where Monkey D. Luffy’s future is headed.
What is clear is that the World Government thought coming after Kaido would have required an enormous outlay of funds (which they do not currently have access to). Second, being in command of one of the strongest forces in the world, engaging Kaido and the Beast Pirates in battle would require significant forces and resupplies of those forces. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, as Green Bull reveals, Kaidou’s actions and behavior suggested that his aspirations included keeping Wano Country closed. which was exactly what the World Government wanted. Moreover, being the “beast” that he is, it seemed unlikely that someone else would eliminate and replace him.
Luffy’s victory over Kaido completely destroyed the “script” the World Government was following regarding the Wano Country, eliminating known threats and replacing them with entirely unknown threats. Now that Luffy is in de facto command of Wano, anything is possible, including the opening of borders. But more importantly, Luffy’s victory over Kaido posed a direct threat to the World Government, clearly demonstrating his potential to become the Pirate King. After all, if Luffy defeated the creature believed to be the strongest in the world, he would find One Piece and eventually replace Gol D. Roger as the world’s most feared and well-funded. What can stop you from becoming a pirate? The dispatch of Green Bull to Wano to solve the “Luffy Problem” shows the World Government’s belief that among the pirates roaming the four seas, Luffy is destined to become the next Pirate King if he is not stopped. . In fact, over the years they have refrained from defeating Kaido, presumably for their mutual benefit regarding the Wano country. But more importantly, they chose not to take similar actions against Shanks, Big Mom, or Blackbeard despite having had the opportunity to do so over the years. But also. Despite their intelligence, it wasn’t until after Luffy’s victory in Wano that the World Government made Luffy the greatest threat to One Piece.
