10 Bold Predictions For Loki Season 2
Loki season 2 could bring many twists and surprises for Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief and the rest of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. With multiversal releases such as Deadpool 3, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars approaching, the events of Loki season 1 and season 2 may become increasingly relevant. After all, the fate of the entire Marvel multiverse lies in Loki’s hands, as his actions dictate how much the Sacred Timeline will change in comparison to what He Who Remains first established. Loki season 1 delivered the shocking reveal that the MCU’s past, present, and future have been decided by Kang the Conqueror’s slightly less cruel variant, He Who Remains. Later, Loki revealed that the Sacred Timeline collapsed, and that it was Sylvie Laufeydottir who had to decide whether to keep He Who Remains alive or kill him, thus leaving the Sacred Timeline completely unprotected. Naturally, Sylvie exacted revenge, and He Who Remains’ death both kicked off the Multiverse Saga and planted the seeds for another twist-filled Loki season. Loki season 2’s twists are yet to be seen, but some possibilities are already exciting.
Loki Season 2 Will Retcon Quantumania’s Ending
![1](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/1-1024x576.webp)
Despite his fame as a ruthless He Who Remains variant, Kang the Conqueror lost to Ant-Man, who kicked him into a portal created by his own damaged multiversal engine. Since Kang the Conqueror is set to be the Multiverse Saga’s overarching villain, it’s possible that Loki season 2 will reveal that Kang didn’t die in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Instead, Kang may have been teleported to another universe, another point in time within the MCU’s main universe, or the TVA itself. Even if this reveal comes in the Loki season 2 finale’s post-credits scene, Kang’s return could directly set up Phase 6’s Avengers movies.
Loki Season 2 Will Feature Much More Of Kang Than The Trailer Implies

Kang the Conqueror’s variants are barely present in promotional material for Loki season 2. However, it’s possible that the role that Victor Timely and other Kang variants have in Loki season 2’s story is being kept secret because they’re key to its plot twists. Alternatively, trailers for Loki season 2 might be avoiding footage of Jonathan Majors’ characters due to the actor’s recent controversies. Either way, it’s possible that Loki season 2 will include much more screen time of Kang and his variants than Victor Timely’s introduction scene. A He Who Remains flashback, Kang’s surprising return, and a Council of Kangs sequence are all reasonable possibilities.
Miss Minutes Will Be Leading The New TVA
![5](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/5-1024x576.webp)
After Sylvie killed He Who Remains and Loki returned to the TVA, the Sacred Timeline was left unguarded. Fortunately, He Who Remains isn’t the only character who had access to the Citadel at the End of Time. Miss Minutes was He Who Remains’ right hand, and he trusted her more than the rest of the TVA or Ravonna Renslayer herself. Therefore, Miss Minutes may have always been He Who Remains’ chosen replacement as the Sacred Timeline’s protector. Loki season 2 could reveal that Miss Minutes has made her own changes to the timeline and cursed Loki to “time-slip” in and out of existence.
Victor Timely Will Be An Ally To Loki And Mobius
![6](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/6-1024x576.webp)
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘s post-credits scene set up Victor Timely as a potential main villain for Loki season 2, with Loki and Mobius visiting the late 19th century and finding their first Kang variant after He Who Remains. But contrary to most of his multiversal counterparts, Victor Timely isn’t usually a full-fledged villain in the source material. Instead, Timely uses his futuristic tech and knowledge to become a successful entrepreneur and keeps a relatively low profile. Victor Timely’s entrepreneurial spirit could lead him to join forces with Loki and Mobius, who might bring him some futuristic technology in exchange for intel on other Kang variants. The only Victor Timely footage shown so far sees him make a public presentation of a device that could “shape” time. Curiously, this machine looks quite similar to Kang the Conqueror’s multiversal engine, as shown in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So, if Victor Timely gains access to the TVA and its technology through Loki and Mobius, his dream could soon come true.
Owen Wilson’s Mobius Will Die
![9](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/9-1024x576.webp)
All of Loki‘s heroes survived season 1, but that may change in season 2. Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius became Loki’s loyal friend at the TVA, and Loki already lost him twice. The first time, Ravonna Renslayer pruned Mobius in front of Loki, but Loki later found out that all pruning victims are sent to the Void. After returning to the TVA and witnessing He Who Remains’ death, Loki encountered a version of Mobius who didn’t recognize him, which means that their friendship may need to start from scratch. In Loki season 2, Loki could lose Mobius a third and final time. Instead of being pruned, Mobius could sacrifice himself to save Loki or get erased from existence by a Kang variant or one of his henchmen. Dying before acquiring his long-desired jet ski could make Mobius’ death the most tragic moment in the show, and it could motivate Loki to make a difficult decision in his friend’s honor. On the bright side, this Mobius could be an alternate variant of the original Mobius who Loki befriended throughout season 1, who could still be around in another version of the TVA.
Loki Will Cause Fox’s X-Men Universe to Collide With The MCU
![7](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/7-1024x576.webp)
Considering that Deadpool 3 will bring Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and other characters from Fox’s Marvel movies to the MCU, Loki seems like the perfect release to set up Deadpool 3‘s multiversal plot. During Loki season 2, Loki could end up fixing the broken Sacred Timeline by incorporating collapsing realities, like Fox’s X-Men universe, into the MCU’s Earth-616. This would go in line with Deadpool 3‘s set footage, which features a destroyed 20th Century Fox logo behind Wolverine and Deadpool. Besides, this link would be the strongest connection between two MCU titles since the Multiverse Saga began.
Ravonna Renslayer Will Sacrifice Herself To Save The Multiverse
![8](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/8-1024x576.webp)
A brief shot in Loki‘s first full-length trailer features Ravonna Renslayer in what appears to be The Void, reacting to an unseen object in the sky. As revealed by Loki season 1, pruned variants in The Void need to escape from Alioth, gatekeeper of the Citadel at the End of Time. It’s possible that Loki, Sylvie, or Mobius will give Ravonna a taste of her own medicine and send her to the Void, where she could try to escape by accessing the Citadel at the End of Time. Alternatively, Ravonna could realize that He Who Remains used her as his puppet and use an exclusive piece of TVA gear to destroy Alioth, giving Loki another ticket to He Who Remains’ headquarters and possibly the Sacred Timeline.
The Loki Variants Exiled In The Void Will Escape

If the Sacred Timeline and the TVA are affected by He Who Remains’ death, it’s possible that The Void also experienced some changes. For instance, TemPads could work as a means of transportation between the TVA and The Void, and pruning sticks could be reverse-engineered to bring variants back. This would allow pruned variants like Boastful Loki and President Loki to escape, and even Alligator Loki could come along with Kid Loki to join the MCU’s Earth-616. After all, most members of the MCU’s Young Avengers already exist in the MCU, and Kid Loki needs to find a way to get out of The Void in order to join them in the future.
A New Villain Will Replace Jonathan Majors’ Kang
![11](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/11-1024x576.webp)
Although Jonathan Majors will play Victor Timely in Loki season 2, there’s still the possibility that Disney and Marvel Studios will choose not to bring the actor back for future movies due to his ongoing legal proceedings. If that’s the case, Loki season 2 could introduce new versions of Kang and his variants, played by a different actor. Otherwise, Loki season 2 could also reveal that a new villain is powerful enough to overtake Kang’s multiversal pursuits. The Beyonder and Doctor Doom are two famous Marvel villains who would fit this role perfectly, as they’re the main villains of Marvel Comics’ 1980s and 2010s Secret Wars storylines, respectively.
Loki Will Rebuild The Sacred Timeline
![12](https://moviemania.in/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/12-1024x576.webp)
Loki may have started his MCU journey as a villain, but he has proved his worth as a hero as well. Hence, with another opportunity to protect the flow of time, it may be up to the God of Mischief to give the multiverse some order and decide what the new Sacred Timeline will look like. It might be necessary to merge universes together and retcon certain events, but Loki may now be wise enough to shape reality in the most ethical way. Such an achievement would make Loki season 2’s conclusion comparable to Avengers: Endgame, and Loki could become as much of a savior figure as Iron Man himself.
